Marshall Steeves
Energy Markets Analyst
Marshall Steeves is an energy analyst on the Transportation, Industrials, and Energy Services (TIE) team within IHS Markit Research group.

His primary emphasis is on analysis of crude oil, refined products and natural gas markets. Prior to joining IHS Markit, Mr. Steeves was a consulting analyst where he researched and authored analysis focused on commodities trading and wrote a daily publication on commodities trading strategy in oil, refined products, natural gas, metals and foreign exchange. He also created and taught an Introduction to Energy Futures class for the Institute for Financial Markets. Prior to this he worked as an analyst for energy data providers where he assisted with analytic software utilization, market analysis and advisory services. Mr. Steeves began his career as an energy analyst for Refco Global Research where he wrote daily and seasonal market commentaries in addition to advising clients on hedging strategies using futures and options instruments. Mr. Steeves received his bachelor's degree from New York University in economics and his master's degree from the London School of Economics in economics.
