Ms. Serrano-Suarez is a Sr. Technical Research Analyst I for the Global Exploration and Production Services (GEPS) team at IHS Markit since 2018. Currently Ms. Serrano-Suarez is the editor for Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay and the Falkland Islands where she researches and writes about the oil and gas industry of these countries. Ms. Serrano-Suarez has more than 15 years of experience as a geologist working for both the industry and academia, including BP and Schlumberger, and several publications including the Journal of South American Earth Sciences, the Industry-Rice Earth Science Symposia (IRESS), the American Association of Petroleum Geologist (AAPG) and the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, a Master of Science degree in Marine Geology and Geophysics from the Universidade Federal Fluminense in Brazil and a Master of Science degree in Structural Geology from Rutgers University in the United States.
