Ed is a leader in the S&P Global Commodity Insights downstream refinery practice and specializes in refinery planning and economics, M&A, and project feasibility analysis. Ed developed the in-house AspenTech PIMS generic refinery linear program model that is used by S&P Global to support a variety of assignments, including crude oil valuation, refinery competitive positioning analysis, refinery project analysis, and refinery M&A. He has over 35 years of downstream technical, operational, market, and economic experience, much of that as a consultant for Purvin & Gertz (acquired by IHS Markit) and IHS Markit(now part of S&P Global). Ed began his career at the Lyondell Houston refinery, where he gained broad refinery process engineering experience as well as refinery LP modeling experience.
Ed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Houston Baptist University.
