Michael Reale
Associate Director, Automotive Global Regulatory Analysis
Michael Reale serves as associate director of global regulatory analysis for Automotive Planning Solutions at IHS Markit.

He is responsible for determining light vehicle fuel economy, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions regulations for the major worldwide vehicle markets and implementing these regulatory requirements into IHS Markit compliance forecast products and consulting engagements. Prior to joining the IHS Markit team in 2019 when Novation Analytics was acquired, he previously held the same role at startup Novation Analytics from 2014-2019. Prior to that role, he has over 14 years of experience at Chrysler Corporation and DaimlerChrysler in a variety of emissions systems engineering, certification, and regulatory development positions. He has represented the automaker in industry negotiations with the US Environmental Protection Agency. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Purdue University along with M.S. Mechanical Engineering and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
