Ms. Ghozzi conducts economic and risk impact analysis and scenario forecasting on the North Africa region (Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia) in IHS Markit's Economics and Country Risk team. Ms. Ghozzi joined IHS Markit in January 2021 following on her previous role as an economist at GlobalData plc where she covered the Middle East and African region with a focus on infrastructure and construction. She also worked for the UK Office of Rail and Road (ORR), where she worked on Network Rail's policy areas, particularly contractual incentive regime, and on the System Operator's (SO) governance framework in the Delivery Plan for Control Period 6 (CP6). Prior to moving to the UK, Ms. Ghozzi worked on different environmental and social impact assessment projects in Egypt and maintained a close dialogue with government officials, domestic public and private sector stakeholders, donor financing entities (such as USAID, European Commission, EuropeAid, UNEP) and representatives of civil society. Ms. Ghozzi received her master's and bachelor degree in Economics from the American University in Cairo (AUC) and holds an MSc in Environmental Economics and Resource management from University College London (UCL). Ms. Ghozzi is fluent in Arabic, English and French.
