Mr. Darner is Managing Director, Oil, and Gas Consulting Asia Pacific. Mr. Darner is an experienced project manager and leader in strategy, M&A, and performance improvement, managing complex projects with up to US $30Bn expansion budget/deal valuation, advising Private, Public, and National Energy Companies, Oil and Gas Service Companies, Financial Institutions, Private Capital Groups, and Governments. 

With a background in Economics, Strategy, and Finance, Erik's focus and primary expertise lies in Strategy, M&A, transactions and valuation support, commercial & technical due-diligence, performance improvement and benchmarking portfolio management, major capital decisions, probabilistic modeling, and oil and gas corporate and investment growth strategies. 

Mr. Darner joined IHS Markit in the London office but was transferred to Singapore in January 2013 to help build and expand the Asia Consulting Practice. Prior to this, Erik gained valuable project experience in Management consulting (BCG), Investment Banking (Greenhill & Co.) Automotive (Michelin), Chemicals (Akzo Nobel), and Capital Markets (NASDAQ). Mr. Darner holds a BSc in Economics & Management from the London School of Economics, and a Masters (MSc) in Business Management from London Business School.
