Sharon coordinates the analysis and forecasts of the economists under her supervision and oversees coverage for the Emerging Europe region as a whole. She also serves as an expert on a number of countries in the European Union and Southeastern Europe (including Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Moldova, and Montenegro), conducting economic and political analysis, risk assessment, and forecasting. She has written extensively on the politics and economics of Central and Eastern Europe, including the 2006 book Political Change in Post-Communist Slovakia and Croatia: From Nationalist to Europeanist (published by Palgrave Macmillan). Moreover, Sharon has presented her work at numerous conferences and seminars in Europe and the United States. She has worked for S&P Global Market Intelligence's legacy companies since 2001, when she joined PlanEcon.
Sharon earned a doctoral degree from the School of Slavonic and East European Studies at University College London, a master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School for Public and International Affairs, and a bachelor's degree from the College of William and Mary.
