In 2021, Asian naphtha market retained strength as demand for naphtha as petrochemical feedstock remained firm owing to new cracker/reformer additions while persistently high prices for alternative cracking feedstock LPG continue to support buying interest for naphtha.
On the other hand, the recovery in Asian gasoline demand and overall Asian and Middle Eastern refinery runs were slow as the regions struggled to control COVID outbreaks and push through aggressively for vaccination progress.
